Upgrade exchange server 2019 from CU6 to CU8 and apply security update KB5000871
Plan:
- Shutdown the server and take full VM backup
- Extend AD schema
- Prepare AD
- Upgrade form cu6 to cu8
- Apply security updates
Make sure DCs are replicating properly and there is no error. Remove any metadata of old DCs if there is any.
- Run DCDIAG
- Run REPADMIN
- RedyncAll
After extending AD schema and PrepareAD, manually replicate across all DCs before initiating exchange upgrade.
